đ A Cali Sober Momâs Go-To Drinks for November 2024
An honest look at what I tried this month and why these picks made the list!
This is it, everyone! Weâve finally (almost) made it to the last month of the year.
I was lucky enough to try some amazing cannabis & N/A beverages so far this month, and Iâm so excited to share my thoughts with you all.
Not only are these an excellent way to treat yourself and dive into the world of California Sobriety, but they could also be some fantastic stocking stuffers for your sober-curious besties. đ
Cannabeverages arenât the only topic of conversation for todayâs newsletter, though! Iâm also very excited to highlight some amazing products that are making a real impact in the alcohol-free & cannabis spaces.
Without further ado, letâs get into the docket. âŽ

Video Reviews:
You wonât find a more transparent, authentic (and sometimes feral) version of me than in my YouTube video reviews.
Honestly, my dream would be to meet everyone reading thisâto chat, connect, and learn together as we go.
But until that happens, Iâll keep popping these open when Iâd normally enjoy one, hitting record, and sharing the experience with you!

N/A Beverage Lineup:
I couldnât tell what was betterâthe chicken piccata or the rosĂ©! P.S. If you buy using this link, you directly support us here at Cali Sober Mom! | OddBird RosĂ©When I opened a bottle of Oddbird Sparkling RosĂ© the other night, I wasnât personally expecting much. But my father-in-law, a longtime N/A drink skeptic, put it to the real test. With typical naysayer energy, he agreed to try a glass. His verdict? "This tastes just like what Iâd order at a restaurant." My husband backed him up, and honestly, I couldnât agree more! Itâs crisp, refreshing, and has just the right amount of sparkle, which is exactly what I hope for in a rosĂ©. Now, itâs a regular in my rotation! What I love most about N/A wine is how it lets me fully enjoy the experience without cravings for more. Oddbird delivers on that, and then some. |
Abita Hop WaterI was at a 10 AM birthday party in New Orleans this weekend (yes, mimosas were flowing), and usually, my drink options at events like these are soda or plain sparkling water. So when I spotted Abita Hop Water in the cooler, I had to try itâand wow, what a find! It was light, crisp, and refreshing, without the heaviness or bitterness I usually associate with anything âhoppy.â Despite the name and being from Abita (a local brewery known for beer), this vibe was entirely different. Itâs easy to sip, and the perfect middle ground between nonalcoholic beer and plain sparkling water. No weird aftertaste, no rushing to finish itâitâs just good. | It was such a great inclusion to the party! Huge shoutout to the mom who thought to include this option for those skipping mimosas. Iâd absolutely recommend it! |
Now For The Cannabeverages:
The can had some amazing artwork! | Really great story on the back, too. |
Groove Wagon Magnifico
Iâll be honest: This THC-infused seltzer wasnât my favorite flavor, but thereâs still a lot to love here! The can design is so fun and eye-catching that I probably wouldâve bought it on looks alone. (Honestly, the can mightâve been the highlight for me!)
That said, the drink did exactly what it promised. The THC content was spot-on for helping me unwind during the chaotic âhappy hourâ with my kidsâcalming my anxiety and helping me stay present. Functionality? 10/10.
As for the flavor, it lands somewhere between a crisp sparkling water and a bold cocktail. It didnât quite hit the spot for me, as I usually prefer either super simple or full-on crafted cocktail vibes. But thatâs just personal preference! The grapefruit flavor was solid, just not one Iâd reorder.
Still, itâs worth trying if youâre into unique flavor combos. With branding this good, Iâm definitely checking out their other options to see if one fits my tastes better!
You canât stroll through NOLA without a bev! P.S. If you buy using this link, you directly support us here at Cali Sober Mom! | Crescent 9Crescent 9 Tropical Seltzer has been the OG for me since July 2023, back when it was the first THC seltzer I could find locally. It quickly became a favorite, and honestly, it still holds a special place in my heart. I recently brought it to a kid-free birthday outing in the French Quarter. While everyone else was sipping cocktails, I had my Crescent 9s in hand, enjoying the NOLA tradition of strolling the streets with a drink while supporting a local brand. Win-win. With a bit of caffeine and 5mg of THC, this is 100% a vibe booster. Itâs my go-to for parties and nights out. Itâs not my pick for a chill night in, but when good energy is the goal, Crescent 9 always delivers. |
Hi Seltzer - Wild BerryIâve had Hi Seltzers before, but the Wild Berry flavor in its signature blue can deserves its moment. Itâs hands-down my favorite of their lineup! Hi Seltzer also offers fun THC cocktail recipes, but as a mom of three, I rarely have the energy for that. So, when my husband talked me into joining him at a Pelicans game, I grabbed a can of Wild Berry from the fridge for some no-fuss tailgating. Light, calorie-free, and refreshing, it was exactly what I needed before some arena fries and ice cream. Think White Claw vibes, but with THC instead of alcohol! | This was the perfect companion for tailgating! |
